KGB used spiritual gurus as propaganda agents

While most of those in the spiritual community see meditation as the solution to their problems, to Yuri Bezmenov, an ex KGB agent, such way of approaching and living life is a very naive one.

This meditation fashion of not being involved into the real problems of one's nation, has proven to be extremely beneficial to the former Soviet Union. 

 

"To meditate, in other words to isolate oneself from the current social and political issues of your own country. To get into your own bubble. To forget about the troubles of the world. Obviously KGB was very fascinated with this beautiful school, such a brainwashing center for stupid Americans," Yuri said during an interview.

 

The former agent met spiritual gurus as part of his propaganda mission with the main purpose of weakening the Americans.

The yogi in the above photo is known for developing the Transcendental Meditation technique, and teaching in hundreds of colleges, universities in the United States.
